Hello there. My name is Michael Allen and I love writing. I’ve loved it since the late 80’s after I took a few writing classes in college. Sadly, life didn’t cooperate with my dreams back then. Work and family took precedent until the crash of 2008. Two years later I was living in the back of a minivan with my dog, Bella. As luck would have it, I stumbled onto a small house for rent in downtown Flagstaff AZ for just $330 a month. A couple of weeks later I started back to college in my late forties and eventually fell in love with writing again. After earning a BA in humanities/creative writing at Prescott College in 2014, I went on to earn an MFA in creative writing fiction at the Mountainview MFA Program at Southern New Hampshire University. I liked the program so much that I re-enrolled for another degree in nonfiction. I’m 56-years-old, and I’m in the middle of learning that it’s never too late to pursue what you love. More will be revealed!
